How to Review Your Hosting Packages in the Client Area

To review your hosting packages, log in to the client area at my.hostking.host and open the Services section, where you can see each package's plan details, renewal date and a link to its control panel.

Finding your hosting packages

1. Log in to the client area at my.hostking.host.
2. Go to Services (sometimes shown as My Services) in the main menu.
3. Review the list of all your hosting packages and their current status.
4. Click on a package to open its service details page.
5. On this page you can see the plan name, domain, server, billing cycle, next due date and login details for that package.

Opening your control panel

From the service details page you can open your control panel directly, without needing a separate username and password.

1. In Services, click on the package for the website you want to manage.
2. Look for a button such as Login to cPanel or Login to DirectAdmin, depending on which control panel your plan uses.
3. Click the button to be taken straight into your control panel.

If you are not sure which control panel your plan uses, check your welcome email or the service details page, which will state either cPanel or DirectAdmin.

Checking disk space and bandwidth usage

Once you are logged in to your control panel, you can see exactly how much storage and data transfer your account has used.

cPanel

1. On the cPanel home page, check the statistics pane in the sidebar for a quick summary of disk and bandwidth usage.
2. For a breakdown by folder, go to the Files section and click Disk Usage.
3. For data transfer over time, go to the Metrics section and click Bandwidth to see usage for today, the past seven days, past 12 months, and by month.
4. For CPU, memory and other resource limits, check the Advanced section, which shows a Resource Usage tool.

DirectAdmin

1. On the main dashboard, check the Account Information panel, which shows usage bars for disk space and bandwidth.
2. For a breakdown of what is using disk space, go to Account Manager and click Disk Usage to see space used by files, email, databases and backups.
3. For a monthly breakdown of data transfer, go to Account Manager and click Bandwidth.
4. On some DirectAdmin themes, these are instead found under System Info & Files > Site Summary, Statistics, Logs.
5. Check Account Configuration for your account's settings, such as IP address, SSH access and SSL certificates.

Troubleshooting

• Disk usage is near the limit: disk space does not reset automatically. Delete unneeded files, old email messages or old backups, then check the per-folder breakdown to find what is taking up the most space.
• Bandwidth usage looks high but the site still works: this is usually normal monthly traffic. Bandwidth resets at the start of each billing cycle, so check the trend in the Bandwidth graphs rather than a single day's figure.
• Can't find the control panel login button: the label can vary between "Services" and "My Services", and between cPanel and DirectAdmin. Open the specific service's details page and look for a login or access button there.
• Still can't find your package details: contact Hostking support via live chat on the website or by opening a support ticket from the client area.
