No. Hostking does not require a fixed-term contract for web hosting, WordPress hosting or reseller hosting. These services are billed on a recurring cycle and can be cancelled on a month-to-month basis.

How billing works

Web hosting, WordPress hosting and reseller hosting are billed on a recurring cycle, such as monthly or annually, rather than tied to a fixed-term contract. There are no setup fees on shared hosting plans. You choose the billing cycle when you sign up, and this is shown in your client area.

Cancelling your hosting

You can manage or cancel your hosting from the client area, or by raising a support ticket if you need help. Cancellation terms can vary slightly depending on the service and billing cycle, so check the details for your specific plan in the client area before cancelling.

  1. Log in to the client area at https://my.hostking.host.
  2. Go to your list of active services.
  3. Select the service you want to cancel and review its cancellation terms.
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to request cancellation, or open a support ticket if you need assistance.

If you have questions before cancelling, you can also use live chat on the Hostking website to ask about your specific plan.

Money-back guarantee

Web hosting, WordPress hosting and reseller hosting all come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. This gives you a window after signing up to try the service and request a refund if it is not right for you.

Reseller hosting

Reseller hosting is billed monthly on an ongoing basis rather than for a short, easily reversible period. The 30-day money-back guarantee still applies when you first sign up, but ongoing monthly billing continues after that until you cancel.

Troubleshooting

  • If you cannot find the cancellation option for your service, open a support ticket from the client area and ask for help.
  • If you are unsure whether your plan still qualifies for the 30-day money-back guarantee, check the sign-up date of your service in the client area or ask support.
